Pay Rate : 42,000 to 72,000 / year
Job Summary:
Seeking Experienced Construction Materials Testing Technicians to join a great company’s team. We are searching for individuals who are dependable, flexible and enjoy being a part of and leading a team. This individual should have strong initiative and self-motivation, and be able to perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine to complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt
Provide clear documentation of field activities entered daily in electronic format
Work with project team and lead technicians to ensure project specifications are followed
Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff, as needed
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent plan reading skills
Demonstrated technical aptitude
Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
MnDOT or ICC certifications a plus
All candidates must have:
A High School diploma or equivalent
2+ years of construction materials testing experience
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification
A strong safety focus and attention to detail
A valid driver’s license and a good driving history required
